Nikon has introduced two new models from the P series – Coolpix P510 and P310, offering amazing optics and picture quality along with some groundbreaking features.

The P510 ups the ballgame when it comes to optical zoom, equipped with an incredible 42x lens that covers a wide range of focal lengths from wide angle 24 mm to telephoto 1000 mm. Another new feature is the ability to vertically adjust the display in two directions, providing the user with the best viewing angle at all times. Two zoom buttons instead of one make it easier to use the control having the second button conveniently added on the lens barrel.

The P310 comes with the same fast aperture of f/1.8 as the precedent P300 model that made it so popular. Its top quality compact wide angle zoom lens offers lens shift vibration reduction and better picture quality with a 16.1 million pixel image sensor.

Both cameras offer a significantly reduced level of noise on images that is a pleasant surprise for the users. Having a Coolpix Picture Control function helps adjust the level of sharpness or color vividity prior to shooting, which is one of the most useful new features.

The cameras are coming to stores at the end of March, and many Nikon fans are impatient to try them out.
