Portrait Photography, Photography Tutorial

When shooting a portrait inside a studio you need to have good lighting, and for that you would like to have a octagonal soft box which will light up the area you are shooting at. Studio lighting at photo shoots should be bright and even, and that is what you’ll get with a soft box. It has a double diffuse system which provide with a nice quality of light. If you wish you can remove one of the layers to get a bit different kind of light. You can use a 400W lamp behind the soft box, and it works perfectly because it’s so powerful. You will have stronger lighting in the center than at the ends, but keep in mind to make the difference almost unnoticeable.

It now up to you to play around with that studio lighting of your photo shoots, you can place the soft box wherever you want in order to get the kind of effect you desire.
